Hello Baby Dy ...

HAPPY 5 month BIRTHDAY!


Such a big boy you are now. I can see so much has changed since you were born.

Your cheeks are fuller now, they look like peaches, hanging low and pastely orange color.

Your tighs are quite chunky (bigger than KFC drumsticks) .. :)

Your eyes understand and observe everything around you.

You make a lot of aaarrrrgggghh sound constantly when you're playing with toys, showing your excitement.

And when you open your eyes from your dreamland, you stare at me sleepyly and you smile back at me with that toothless grin.

You make my day already.


I don't know why you've been upset all day .. being spoiled, you want me to carry you around. You cry when I put you down in crib, in your rocker chair or in bed. You just want me to hold you all the time. Dylan, you're not a little baby anymore, .. 15 pounds is not so light. Mama's back and hands are achy. Still I can't refuse not to hold you when you cry oh so sadly. Mama gendong Dylan pake selendang batik .. capek juga lama².

Daddy said because it's your birthday, so you wanna be pampered a little bit. Well, so that was my present for you son.

Solid Food

I have to admit that I can't wait to introduce solid food to Dylan. I want to give him a little bit at a time so he gets used to the new variety of food. I did start solid to him about 2 weeks ago (April 5), just to know how he would react to it. I started only with rice cereal. I tasted it and was actually good. When I told hubb, he said .. "Yeah, yeah, you used to eat your baby brother food too, of course it tastes good to you" *I can't believe he said that* hehe ..

I kinda scared if Dylan is going to catch some cold again. His eyes have been watering and red around the eyes. He coughs a lil bit and his nose is kinda runny. Maybe got it from dad. I try to nurse him as much as he wants to and drink vitamin so that it might pump up some defense on his body.

Dylan has been able to touch both his feet now, I call him the Yoga Boy .. hehehe .. just like Mamie .. she teaches Yoga .. I know all babies will eventually learn to touch their toes, but it's just funny to call him like that. He will reach upon his toes when I change his diaper, which kinda hard for me to clean up .. and I would have to distract him a little bit so he let go his grips on the toes. I don't want to just take them out like that .. it seems discouraging and I want him to feel like it's a good thing to do, but mama needs to get some access first for about a minute or two.

I think I call him with different bunch of names everytime he reaches a new milestone. I like to make up nicknames for my lil boy. Kuskus, pumpkin pie (sooo original, huh?), my lil booboo, and a bunch more ...
