1st Play Date

Aunt Nikki invited Dylan and mama to play with other babies in her house. There were four moms and five babies!! Wooa ... quite a lot.
She was so nice to pick us up and even drove us home later on.

When we arrived, Dylan was a little overwhelmed with everything. So many babies, so many noises, so many toys .... he needed time to adjust with his new environment. He didn't even want to play with the toys at first. Just wanted to be close to mama.

The other babies were kinda grumpy too. While I was nursing Dylan, Erin was screaming ... hehehe ... and Greg Jr was kinda grumpy too. Only baby Nicholas was kinda happy and smiley .. He was playing in his saucer, happy baby, all smiles.

Around 2 o'clock lunch was served, Nikki's mom made "masarap" Chicken Adobo. That's the word for "delicious" in Philipine. She also made a very yummy fried banana and nangka roll. Not to forget the refreshing melon juice ...

Dylan was taking a nap in the living room, so I could enjoy my lunch. Then Sandie and baby Matthew came. uuuu, another chubby baby. Somehow he reminds me of Dylan, I don't know what.

It was so fun day. The greatest thing about it is that moms could share experience about the babies. It's not the same out there. New moms united together !! haha ... Yeah ... cause they understand what each other is going through. The pain, the crankiness, the "I-almost-slip-my-sanity" thing ... and the happiness of holding baby in her arm (sleeping! or happy!).

Take Off My Shoe

Dylan:
Yes mama, I can take off my shoe already.
Everytime you put it on me, I rip off the velcro, grab it, swing it in the air, then I eat it ...
Yes mama, I'm a big boy now ..
And I don't like my shoe ..
I know it looks cute on me, but I'll take it off whenever I get a chance.

Mama:
Yes Dylan ... I know you don't really like your shoe.
But it's not just to make you look cute.
Your feet look cute just fine even without shoes.
But it's summer time, and I don't want lil buggy to bite you.
And one of these days, you'll learn to walk,
So having shoes on is not such a bad thing.

Father's Day

June 20 is Father's Day. Not to be forgotten to give daddy a gift.On Mother's Day, Anton gave me a fancy Armani watch. But for his gift, I wanted to give him something personal.

I gave him a key chain with his initial on the front, and on the back written the words Dylan's Dad.

Why a key chain? He'll carry it wherever he goes.
Engraved with his name and his son's name on it.

I Play Swing

Today, mama took Dylan to Barnes and Nobles again for Baby Reading and Sing Along.
Aunt Nicky and Allice invited mama to the park for lunch and play time afterwards. They told me that Dylan can play swing with Erin, Nicholas and Greg .. really???

Aku pikir masak bayi segitu udah bisa maen swing ...
Eh, ternyata bisa!! aduh Dylan senengnya ...
Oh, Well, maybe mama lebih seneng. hihihi





Tuh fotonya Dylan lagi maen swing, ... mama pertamanya serem naruh Dylan di situ, tapi begitu ngeliat baby Nicholas ketawa-ketiwi di swing, mama jadi nggak ragu² deh. Untung banget mama bawa camera, jadi daddy bisa liat anaknya udah bisa maen swing :)

Mammmaa, mma, mmma

Yeayyy ... anakku udah teriak² mammmma, mmma, mmmmaa, maaaaa ....
UUUhhh senengnya :)

Kemaren lagi tidur siang tiba² kok Dylan ngoceh² ndiri. Masih setengah ngantuk mama denger Dylan manggil² mama. Aku pikir ... ah, kali nggak sengaja nih, paling phase doang gitu ... makanya mama diemin aja. Waktu mama bangun, Dylan senyum² tapi udah nggak ngoceh lagi.

Eh, malemnya ternyata dia ngoceh² mammmaammamamamaaaa lagi ... hueheh ..lucunya. Mama langsung nyamber kamera buat di video. Berhasil deh direkam .. aha!

Tadi pagi jam 8, Dy udah bangun, terus ngoceh² mamamm ma ma mma ... yeah, baby ... you call me mama finally. Daddy kebangun sambil senyum² denger celotehnya Dylan. Nggak percuma deh di brainwash selama ini ..

Laugh in Your Dream

hehehe hehehe ... like that.
And it makes me laugh too,
eventhough I try to hold it.

And I think that's a good sign,

Tounge Dance

Dylan sekarang suka hobby melet² ama maenin lidahnya. Masak bisa dibikin bergelombang gitu, lidahnya jadi kayak wave ... canggih amat. Mama aja nggak bisa ... ngeliatnya ampe kagum.

Lidahnya lincah banget gitu, bisa ditekuk² .. Tau nggak, ability to fold tounge into the middle is genetically inherited! Jadi bukan perkara bisa atau enggak, tapi emang keturunan. Mama sih lidahnya kaku ... Dylan nurunin dari daddy kalo yang satu ini kali.

Terus sekarang tangannya suka diputer² kayak nari ... Mau nurunin bakatnya papie yah? ... hehe ...

Makan solid sekarang udah mulai macem², nggak yang single-ingredient doang. Kemaren makan rice cereal with apple sauce ... yummy... mama juga ikutan makan .. (haha..) Emang sih makanan bayi itu enak, lembut dan teksturnya terasa sekali tanpa pake bahan² kimia.

Kalo ada makanan baru pasti mama selalu cobain dulu, ... kan pengen ngerti rasanya kayak apa. Beberapa hari yang lalu mama kasi sweet potato 2 hari berturut², uhhh ... jadinya Dylan bebelan, 2 hari nggak be'ol, sampe mama cemas ... kesiaaaaaan deh. Tapi sekarang mama tahu, mesti diselingin ama fruit ... udah lancar lagi deehhhh .... :)

Mama udah kasi Dylan zippy cup sekarang. Bahannya dari rubber, jadi Dylan seneng gigit², bunyi nyeot nyeot nyeot .... mana bisa megangin sendiri lagi. Pas pegangannya lepas, reflek tangannya nahan ... mama video tuh, jadi ada buktinya ... (huehehe ... dasar first time mother, apa² didokumentasi). Entar kirimin mamie yah, pasti kagum entar ...
