9 Month is a Crazy Age

Separation Anxiety

Dylan gets this separation and stranger anxiety lately. Well, it's pretty normal for baby around this age. He can't see me 5 feet away from him. If he's on the floor, he'll crawl in a speed to reach me (or my sandals). Yeah, he likes my blue sandals. If he's sitting in his chair, he'll watch me and scream by the time I reach my 6th step. O boy, o boy ...

He's clinging to me like a lil monkey everytime, anytime, even in his sleep. He'll reach over my body with one hand over my arm, or my face. It's like his way to make sure that I'm there with him. He's getting smart now, .. he knows when I'm going to put him down, his legs will grip my thigh so tightly. LOL. OK, baby, I got the message.

I found it rather hard for me to do anything else. Lil frustating, but I calm myself down, give him a lot of hugs and kisses. I also need a break sometimes, and daddy knows well. He understands when I start going nut. heh ..

Teething

His tooth is finally coming out, one in the bottom, the other one sticks out too, uuu so cute, maybe that explains the crankiness and fussiness lately. I've been co-sleeping him again. I figure with the anxiety attack and cry at night, it's easier for me and him to be in the same bed. He seems more content when he's sleeping between us. What drives me crazy is that he's pulling my hair in the morning. I'm dead asleep and this lil monkey yanking my hair like crazy ... Duh!

I know he tries to wake me up and saying "Good morning, mama".

Bungee Jumping

He knows able to climb over my body and goes down from the bed to the carpet without any sound or any injury :) or :( ??. The other day, I slept on the edge of the bed, him on the inside. He wasn't really sleeping, playing and cooing to himself .. eehhh, ehhhhh, nennneee, neeeeneee, ... that's what he said. I was half asleep, and I felt like his voice came from different direction. I woke up, ... I found him on the carpet, kicking the bed with his two tiny feets, .. smiling as he saw me looking at him. Like nothing important ever happened. In my blurry thought, I didn't recall putting him on the carpet. Maybe Anton did. And so I thought so.

Anton came in, I asked him if he put Dylan on the carpet. He said no. ??? I came up with a theory then. Dylan climbed over my body (and I didn't even feel it!, scarry, you betch!) then he climbed down the bag that I put by the bed. That gave him a safe landing on the ground .. heh, smart ass you are.

No Milk, Please

Dylan's been refusing bottle, and sometimes he doesn't even want to nurse. I have wasted so many oz of milk. He's not like a lil baby anymore sometimes. He knows his way to get around and there's no way I could get him to drink his milk. *nyut²an*. I'll probably will need to supply him with vitamin since he's not drinking formula anymore.
But his appetite on solid is extremely good and probably it's the transition time for him now that he tastes better food other than that old plain milk.

Dylan the Explorer

Dylan hobby nonton film Dora The Explorer. Pagi², bangun tidur, Dylan biasanya nonton TV, sembari mama buatin breakfast. Ngeliatnya serius gitu lagi.. hehe ..

Mengambil judul film kesayangannya, ... Dylan sekarang yang jadi explorer, .. He's finally crawling at 8 months, and now he masters his skill very well. Dylan sekarang udah bisa kemana-mana. I like the fact that it seems like I have a white turtle on the floor but it is also scarry. Ditinggal sebentar aja dia udah kemana-mana. Dia seneng sekali berburu new stuff. Kalo liat sendal, dikejarlah sendal itu, kalo liat mama di dapur, dia akan berusaha nyamperin mama di dapur. Waaa, ... I have a hardwood floor, so I have to wash it everyday with disinfectant.

I already put some foam mat for him to cruise around, but that's not too challenging I guess. Cause it's only 4x5. He'll roam around outside his border, .. Tadi mama keluar ke patio, eh mau masuk, tiba2 Dylan udah di depan pintu, serem gak sih?? Gimana kalo aku tinggal ke kamar, dan tiba2 dia udah nyongsrok keluar? I live on the 3rd floor, so I have to watch him real close.

Dylan lagi sakit, 2 days ago, batuk2 .. serak, aduh batuknya kayak kakek2 gitu. Serem dengernya, tapi dia tetep ceria n lincah, jadi aku nggak terlalu khawatir. Sekarang sih udah baekan, mama kasih PediaCare. Berhubung lagi sakit gitu, so we kinda spoil him by putting him in bed with us for 4 days in a row. I like it though, sleeping holding my cute lil baby, but you bet it's not comfortable in the morning.

Dylan, Dylan ... kamu tambah lucu aja tiap hari. Mama nggak tahan kadang liatin kamu, .. pengen tak towel² terus. Palingan kamu marah ... aarrrrghh, mukanya nyungir ² sambil mulutnya bentuk O .. hihihi .. menurutku kamu tambah cute kalo gitu. Serba salah ya nak?

Resemblance

Everytime a baby is born, we always compare which parent the baby looks more likely to. In Dylan's case, ... hmmm, it's kinda hard to tell.

He doesn't look exactly like mama or daddy.
People always say that he's a mix of us.
I think that's true ... We suppose to create a different creature not cloning one.

But couple of weeks ago, my sis-in-law sent me some pics of little Anton.
Old old photos .. I couldn't help but bursting into laugh when I saw them.
My hubby as a baby ... how wonderful.
And this particular one just made my day :)
