Q: How many babies can call out their mom's name at the age of 8-month-old??
A: Not so many ... But my baby can!!!

Hehehe ... curang, iya emang my name termasuk daftar baby first words.
Kalo bangun tidur Dylan ngomong .. Tata tata taaaataaaa .... hihi ... geli deh dengernya.

Kemaren ledek²an ama Mama, I said my baby is smartest than yours, cause he can call his mom's name at such a young age. Mama jawabnya ... iya emang bayimu pinter, ... kowe kalah pinter (kan dulu kowe juga bayi) ... wakaka ....

 Dylan sekarang udah bisa stand up di pinggir ranjang nggak dipegangin, ... tapi tetep aja sih aku jagain di pinggir, entar kalo kejedot pusing lah aku. Tapi keliatan sekarang kakinya udah kuat banget. Kalo pas maen di "Hop and Pop" nya aja kadang bisa ngangkat sendiri ...
Hari ini capek banget dia rewel, then aku taruh aja itu maenan dia di depan cermin, jadi dia kayak punya "kembaran" yang bereaksi ama dia.
Kan baby tuh suka banget ama cermin ...

Dy sekarang udah makan yoghurt .. YoBaby nya Stonyfield. Pas ta cobain, enak deh .. lebih creamy gitu rasanya. Terus kalo soal makan Dy emang nggak susah sih. Hampir apa aja yang kukasih dia mau, kecuali kalo lagi grumpy. Makanan juga sekarang aku udah bikin ndiri, .. it's so much fun! I could create a brand new recipe that the jar-foods don't exist.

The last one .... *drum rolls* ....  Daddy teaches Dylan a new trick, wave bye bye. Every morning, before he left for work, Anton dadah²in tangannya gitu. Eh, sekarang Dylan bisa dadah² balik, not always, but he gets the idea. Good job, daddy!!  He has something to proud of now .. :)

13 Sign Language Words for Baby

I'm so interested in teaching Dylan to do sign language. I watched the show in American Baby that children can communicate better with sign language. It really makes sense because babies can't speak yet, and so the only way they tell us what they want is with their body language.

I notice that when Dylan's happy, he will jump up and down. When he's upset, he'll stretch out his body and grouch. And when he's tired playing in his "Hop and Pop" bouncer, he will straight up his arms when I approach, it's like a way of saying .. pick me up, pick me up ...

Maybe it's too early, but we'll see .. when he's 10 mo, he should be able to pick up the lesson when I teach him. Anyway it's so simple ... he can show me if he's sick in certain part, or he can tell me if he's full, or if he wants more. Wowww!! I wonder if that works well with him.

POOLDATE

Dylan spent Wednesday afternoon with his friends again. This time around he got a chance to had a blast playing in Nicholas and Erin's lil pool. It's so amazing how he loves playing with the water. The funniest thing is when his diaper swells up sooooo big. Sandie teases him by saying that he's so well-endowed .. :P~~~~

Growing-Up Phase

My boy is not a baby anymore. At least according to himself.
Remember he's just 7 month old.

What he does lately:

1. Dy fights on diaper change time. He doesn't want any pampes to put on him. Susaaah banget makein-nya, badannya roll over kesana kemari, kakinya tendang². Mama ampe bingung (dan kadang² bete setengah mati). How come it's so hard just to put diaper ointment, he'll smear it with his hand. And oh, if I forgot to put clothes on, Dy can open his own diaper! No joke. He'll rip the Velcro off, one at a time, then he rolls around naked happily and pees on my bed!

2. Dy discovers his penis, .. yup. He touches it on the changing time, always. At first I was scared that it would be a bad habbit. But when I talk to other moms, their baby boys are like that too, and I shouldn't discourage him for touching it. It's about time he finds his body part, just as he finds his hands or his toes. It's totally normal.

3. Dy eats finger food. I love the Puff Banana Gerber and he does too! :) Yeah, I munch it together with him. At home, I will scatter it on the tray, then he'll throw it like flowers around him. I realize that he can't use his hands to put the puff in his mouth, yes he grabs them and make a fist, but the thumb and index finger coordination is not developed yet.
In a car trip, the Puff really occupies him and helps me a lot to keep him stay still. I will put it one at a time in his mouth and he will eagerly "nyaplok" for at least 30 min. So cute.

4. Dy likes books. Not to read them, but to tear them apart. This afternoon I try to read for him and instead he will jump onto the book, shake everything up and start tearing it.
When I got mail later that day, I put some catalogs on the bed and he would go crazy grabbing it. He crunched and pulled the pages apart .. Daddy watched it in horror, but I told him to let Dy have fun with it. It's just so adorable to see our son discovers a new thing everyday and we shouldn't limit his ability to explore. As long as we supervises. I think he likes the sound of the shredding and the crunching part.

5. Dy starts creeping (though it looks like swimming .. hehe ..). He doesn't crawl yet, but when he sees something that he likes, he'll try to reach it. The objects that usually interest him are Cable Remote Control, my Cellphone, Books or Paper. Bear or eeyore is to babyish for him. Notice he wants all grown-up stuff? *LOL*
He can even change the channel, and daddy who usually so possesive with the remote will just let Dy plays with it. Dy can grab the remote with his tiny little hand.

6. Dy grabs and reaches everything in front of him. Every new things that he just finds out, he'll try to get it.

7. Dy can't go out eating with mama and daddy anymore. He doesn't like to stay in his carseat at the restaurant. The last time we went out to IHOP, I put him on the high chair and he was so fussy. I smacked the whole glass of Orange Juice, splashing it to othe customers .. gosh, so much for dining out.

Independence Day

First Independence Day for baby Dylan was by going to the beach!
Diajakin Te Tara & kel mendadak gitu hari Sabtu nya, so tanpa persiapan apa² .. kita jadinya berangkat. Untung Tara udah banyak logistiknya.

Kita berangkat jam 10.15 pagi, iring²an jalan lewat LIE ampe ke exit 73, belanja dulu ke Tanger Outlet. Wuiih banyak banget Brand di sono, ampe pusing. I'm not such a shopper anyway. Happy juga sih ngeliatnya .. tapi nggak sempet masuk ke semua toko. Too many ..

Terus sekitar jam 3 an baru kita ke beach, WildWood, tp ternyata beachnya ditutup karena udah terlalu penuh. uuuuu .... tapi asyik juga sih ngeliat pemandangan di luar New York. Ada farm di pinggir² jalan, ... terus rumah gede² banget pekarangannya. Ganti pemandangan.

Akhirnya kita pergi ke Sunken Meadow Park, rameee banget, banyak orang BBQ-an di pinggir2 jalan. Jadi juga kita ke beach.. Ternyata, airnya masih dingin banget. Dylan takut, nggak mau nyemplung ke air. Mama-papa aja kedinginan, gimana baby kecil ya .. Lagian I think the beach is not that clean, bagusan yang di Jones Beach.

Ya udah, jadinya Dylan maen² aja di pinggir ama kk Ican. Mama beliin kapal²an tiup pas di Tanger, habis murah banget sih cuman $3, Dylan naik di situ, terus mama tarik² ... hehehe lucu deh. Kk Ican aja ampe pingin ..

Sekitar jam 5 an gitu kita cabut dari beach, mau nonton FireWork. Kita beli nasi padang duluan, wuuuh yummy ... So we went to the roof top of Stop and Shop Building. Parkirnya bisa di atas, so we can look at the view of the East River where the Firework was going to launch. Sampe di sono, pada gantian makan duluan .. ambil jagain anak masing². Nungguin firework, baru jam 9.30 mulai. Bagusss banget. Sayang camera nggak bisa nangkep, too dark. HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!!

BTW, Dylan nggak rewel sama sekali, ya lumrah² aja lah, .. paling ngerengek² bentar ... makannya malah banyak, he's a happy baby ... Anak jalan ya sayang ya ... :)
